Common Questions About Artisan Oak Orders, Shipping, Returns, and Care
At Artisan Oak, every piece is handcrafted from natural American White Oak or Cherry wood in our small workshop in Summersville, West Virginia. Because our products are made by hand from real wood, customers often have questions about shipping, returns, care, wood choice, and what to do if something does not look right with an order.
Below are answers to the most common questions we receive.
How long does shipping take?
Most Artisan Oak orders are processed and prepared as quickly as possible by our small team. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking.
If your order was placed recently, it is likely still being worked on. If it has been several days and you have not received tracking yet, we may be running slightly behind, but your order is still in progress.
Because our products are handcrafted, processing can sometimes take a little longer than a standard warehouse shipment. We appreciate your patience while we make sure your order is finished properly.
Where is my order?
Once your order ships, tracking will be sent to the email used at checkout. You can use that tracking link to follow the shipment.
If tracking shows the package is still in transit, it is on the way. If tracking has not updated for a while or the package appears delayed, please contact us with your order number so we can help look into it.
If tracking says the order was delivered but you do not see it, please check nearby delivery spots first, including the porch, side door, mailroom, parcel locker, building staff, or neighbors. If you still cannot find it, reach out and we will help review the next step.
How do returns work?
We offer 90-day returns on eligible items.
To qualify for a refund, the item must be unused, in good condition, and returned within 90 days of delivery. Once the unused item is received and inspected, the refund will be processed back to the original payment method.
Personalized, custom engraved, and final sale items are not eligible for refund unless there is an Artisan Oak error or confirmed defect.

What if there is an issue with my order?
If your order arrives damaged, defective, cracked, leaking, incorrect, or missing something, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A clear photo of the issue
- A short description of what happened
Photos are required for damage, cracking, leaking, defects, wrong items, or order issues. Once we review the issue, we will help with the appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, correction, exchange, return label, or refund after return.
We stand behind our craftsmanship and always do our best to take care of our customers.
How do I use the wood rub?
Wood rub helps keep your tumbler conditioned when the wood begins to look dry.
To use it:
- Make sure the tumbler is clean and dry
- Apply a small amount of wood rub to the outside of the tumbler
- Rub it evenly into the wood
- Let it absorb
- Wipe off any excess
You do not need to apply wood rub after every use. Use it occasionally when the wood looks or feels dry.
How should I clean my tumbler?
To care for your Artisan Oak tumbler:
- Rinse with warm water
- Do not use soap
- Do not put it in the dishwasher
- Air dry after rinsing
- Apply wood rub occasionally when the wood looks dry
Because the tumbler is made from real wood with a charred interior, simple care is best.
What is the difference between Oak and Cherry?
American White Oak is the classic whiskey-forward option. It has a bold, traditional oak character and is a great choice for customers who want a stronger whiskey barrel feel.
Cherry has a warmer, smoother, and more mellow wood profile. It is a good choice for customers who want something a little softer and slightly different from the classic oak experience.
Both are natural hardwoods, and each piece will have its own grain, color, and texture.
Do you offer military or first responder discounts?
Yes. We offer a 15% discount for eligible military, veteran, and first responder customers.

Yes. Artisan Oak tumblers are often used for corporate gifts, client gifts, military retirement gifts, wedding parties, distillery shops, cigar lounges, and special events.
