As the whiskey interacts with the charred wood, the carbon layer acts as a natural filter, mellowing harsh compounds while deepening the spirit’s character. At the same time, the intense heat caramelizes the oak’s natural sugars, unlocking signature notes of toasted caramel, warm toffee, and rich vanilla. This process is so integral to American whiskey that new, charred oak barrels are a legal requirement in the production of bourbon, rye, and other American whiskeys.

US Domestic Orders

Each order will be packed and shipped within 3 business days. Delivery times will vary on your location within the US but won't exceed 5-7 business days.

International Orders

Most international orders are shipped with UPS and will take 3-10 business days. All orders are subject to import duties and taxes. Artisan Oak LLC does not cover import duties or taxes.
