How Char Affects Your Whiskey
Charring the inside of an oak barrel is an age-old tradition in whiskey-making, essential to developing the rich flavor found in every sip. When oak is charred, its surface transforms into a layer of natural charcoal, which enhances the whiskey in two key ways: filtration and flavor.
As the whiskey interacts with the charred wood, the carbon layer acts as a natural filter, mellowing harsh compounds while deepening the spirit’s character. At the same time, the intense heat caramelizes the oak’s natural sugars, unlocking signature notes of caramel, toffee, and vanilla. This process is so integral to American whiskey that new, charred oak barrels are a legal requirement in the production of bourbon, rye, and other whiskeys.

Our product is handcrafted and finished by our small team in the USA. Our level of detail and care allows us to ensure that you get the highest quality oak whiskey tumbler that you can enjoy for many years to come.
Standard U.S Orders
Excluding custom orders, each order will be packed and shipped within 3 business days. Delivery times will vary on your location within the US but won't exceed 7 business days.
CUSTOM ORDERS
Orders with customization will require at least 72 hours to process and then will be shipped the following business day. Shipping time depends on the method selected at checkout.
International Orders
Most international orders are shipped with UPS and will take 3-10 business days. All orders are subject to import duties and taxes. Artisan Oak LLC does not cover import duties or taxes.
REFUNDS/RETURNS

Tumbler was the perfect Father's Day gift - it's high quality and the engraving is perfect! It would probably encourage more people to buy them if you had sample engraving pictures on the website!
